Console lid styles?? August 18, 2012, 07:29:45 PM I've found 2 styles of console lids, the first one is what's on my 88 Cougar right now, and the second one Is what I see on everyone ELSE'S Cougar lol. ARe these styles interchangeable? Quote Selected

Cool.Honestly, I have never found rhyme or reason as to which cars got which lid after 1984. For 1985-86 some got the flat style, others got the colored/taller style. The flat style was 1987-88 exclusive as far as I know. As always, there can be exceptions to the rule, and that wouldn't surprise me one bit. I always tell people that if they're installing a console, use the lid that you like better, because it really doesn't matter in the end. Quote Selected
