As much as I hate to say it, as I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to brand loyalty between motor and car, that was freakin' sweet!

holy hell. Is that engine normally a transverse mounted in the car it's made for? I would like to see the turbo(s) they got under the hood of that thing too.

I believe that's a Supra motor, and Supras are rear wheel drive. :)

Ahh. Well I'm sure it still took some extensive customization. I'm normally against puppies motors but honestly I think its just cause I hate their FWD applications. In this scenario, I say WIN!

I don't see what all the hate is about. It's a pretty neat engine, making a ton of power for it's size.

Kinda reminds me of the opposite which showed up on cragslist a couple years ago... that was a Mazda rx-7 with a 5.0 in it

That would be the worst 1/8 mile pass for a 1000hp car.lol If that wad the 1/8 he would run a high 14. The mph must be messed up. He's got a shoot so it must go 150mph. I really miss going to the track.

yeah, but the MPH vs ET makes sense that it's 1/8th mile, because he lifted.. if it was 1/4 mile, than he would of ended up around a 14, unless he got back into it

A 9.51 in the 1/8 mi may be 72-75mph, it was defiantly a quarter mi run... My Marauder runs 8.3 in the 1/8 @ 85mph, the Bird ran similar times...

Kinda neat, but it sounded like shiznit...

that was 1/4. He's got another video at the same track and you can read the name, Mission Raceway Park in Vancouver. Btw, the other video is a RX-7 that went 8.20 @ 160

It's the angle. you can really tell in the other videos, and the track info only says they have a 1/4 and a AutoX/MotoX track. Also keep in mind, running a 9 will really make it look short too lol.

from that angle, i'm used to watching cars run 7.50 or less.. so if anything, it would look longer lol

Gotta be 1/4 mile. Only way you could get up to 110 in 9 seconds. I have seen 9 second cars run 138mph or so in the 1/4 with traction issues. He shot to the wall, let off then probably coasted at the end.

I've seen runs in the 5sec range at 138mph, course that was 1/8 mi...
