Replace the ignition switch asap. That's a fire hazard in the making even without the key on.

I can't imagine the car would run very well with a non HO ecu, non HO firing order and a roller cam. The only thing I could surmise is that someone threw a roller cam in there that's ground for the standard firing order

Which actually screws everything up. E5VF. And whaddaya know, Premium Sound right there on the front face. I have to look at mine again, I literally don't know if it says that on the radio. I feel like it mustn't otherwise this problem would have been WAY easier to solve. E5 should mean ~1985 so maybe things changed.


Jandm, as soon as I saw your post I had that "a-ha" moment. I knew it was a regular poster. I wish I lived in the middle of nowhere. There are some yards in western NY that are good. Here near the capital it's just too easy for every yard to s out everything more than 10-15 years old whenever the metal gets expensive.


What's funny is I have an over abundance of fox tbird/cats here in the yards local to me. Ask Cassity about his trips up my way.

There's also a good chance the radio came from one of my cast off parts cars. With s being so low (think $50 a ton low) I just donate what's left to village motors. Makes for a good neighborly relationship.

You'd be talking about me. I live 3 houses up the road from village motors. The guys there know their shiznit. If you're bored sometime do a google maps overhead view of village motors. Not sure which cars are sitting in my yard as of the latest photo update
