User Rides / My 86 Cougar (2.3T swapped) thread (long and lots of pics)
My son got me some H4 conversion housings for my birthday.  I've had these on my eBay watch list for about the last ten years, lol.  He must have got tired of hearing me complain about the lighting.

They came with bulbs but I may order some different ones to see what I like best.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / 2018 Junkyard finds
I just looked through my pictures (I dospoogeent every Fox Tbird/Cougar I find in the junkyard) and I counted 51 cars I took pics of when I lived in Las Vegas from 2008-2012.  Here's most of them...

Yeah, I know all about the rust belt.  I grew up in Chicago and my parents had their fair share of rusty cars.  Mostly late 70s/early 80s Caprice sedans and wagons.  Fun times!

I did get the grille, headlight buckets, and emblems from this recent find, so it wasn't a total bust.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / 2018 Junkyard finds
I used to get lots of good parts when I lived in Las Vegas.  There was never less than five of these cars at my favorite junkyard.  It helps that they don't rust out there.  This Cougar from yesterday was so rusty I could see through the doors.

Whoa, it's been four years since an update!

Let's see...

2015 - Changed valve springs.  Helped with engine not wanting to rev.  Still doesn't seem quite right but a lot better than when it was on the dyno.

2016 - Didn't do much with the car.  We were busy with the new house and moving.

The Cougar making the trip from Nebraska to Ohio!

2017 - The Cougar has a dedicated spot in the garage so I was able to work on the suspension.  I replaced the ball joints, control arm bushings, and shocks.  I also cut a coil from the springs for a much needed lowering.

2018 - This is the car's current state.  It's been six years since the paint job and most of that time was spent without a garage so the paint is pretty beat.
