I drive this car everyday with no problems wouldnt hesitate to drive it to cali and back.gets good gas milage and will run on 87 if you keep the boost resonable.Should run somewere in the mid 9's +/- on 15 psi.
the body does have some minor dents on the pass side quarter from a previous owner but is overall presentable and the paint is glossy.its a good 20 footer.
This car has every option in 87 for a turbo coupe except leather and automatic.
I have been looking into starting a little full service shop would like some pointers from someone with experiance in the area of starting a small buisness.
SO my wife goes in to get her some cheap tires for her cavy. I get to look at the car for the first time this week Washed the car (was done 2-11) they sell her 2 tires needed 3 (3rd is an odd size 195/75 ) well thats were the issues start. ill list these below
1. paid for 185/75/14's got 185/70's on the front.
2. they broke the driver door lock.
3. wanted 30.00 to replace a lug nut that it wasnt missing and now is.
How would you handle this.now i have a car with 3 differant tire sizes
1976 351W stock longblock edelbrock RPM intake 600 vac secondary holley jetted for app. stock duraspark ignition W/ blaster msd coil taylor wires and NGK plugs (stock heat range) long tube headers and 2" exhaust Curve kit in the distributor
Now onto the topic this is in my truck that I drive daily I only run 87 octane fuel in it at any given time. All has been great till I put in the curve kit with the light springs test drive shown I had some severe detonation at part throttle. So tonight I went back into the distributor and swapped to the medium springs in the kit and restricted the mechanical advance to provide only 26* of mechanical advance v.s the 42* before set the base at 12* for a total of 38*at full advance. Now I still have this pesky light throttle ping.I really like the added pep of the faster curve Is the solution to this to drop the base timing more or try to tighten the curve up some more (full advance at 3,500-3,600) motor never see's above 5,100
Also this may not be related but our local stations recently switched to a 10% ethanol mix fuel.
rear and side angle please. Ive been doing some exhaust work on my car and done some neat things.Just want to see what others are running for tips/pipes.
